The brother of Ziggy Marley, he decided to be less dedicated to pop and followed instead the reggae road. His debut album ‘Mr. Marley’, released in 1996, was appreciated by the public for the genuine style of music. On the other hand, he waited more than 4 years until his final confirmation on the musical stage arrived. In 2001, he decided to be less lyrical and more dancehall-oriented. Winner of the Grammy for ‘Halfway Tree’, he continued in 2005 with ‘Welcome to Jamrock’, whose style reminds a lot of the usual rhythm of the Jamaican streets. He continued to be nominated for Grammys and eventually won another one, for Best Urban/Alternative Performance as well as the Best Reggae Album. Together with his brother Stephan, he tried his hand and inspiration in the world of producers, while continuing to perform on stage.
