As he grew up in a very religious family, he surprised his family by his musical qualities from a very early age. When he reached the age of the high school, he was already able to play various instruments, but he also got enough knowledge of the theoretical side of music. Before being on the right musical track, he decided to spend eight years in the US Marine Reserves. The next step was to move to Nashville where he dedicated all his time and energy to play and create quality music. Prior to getting the fame, he also kept himself busy during the day with various jobs, while playing good music at night. One of his first musical jobs was to sing demos for various friends in Nashville. BNA did see him as a good investment and they helped him with the release of his debut ‘The Book’, accompanied by his first hit single – ‘The Dollar’. With those musical achievements he hit definitely the good road to success. However, the success paid its price, as his wife decided to leave him and he was left by his record house. For a while, he preferred to stay away from the temptations of the social life, but he continued to write from time to time various hits, such as Trace Adkins’ ‘Honky Tonk Badonkadonk’ or George Strait’s ‘Give It Away’. His musical comeback was his 2008 ‘That Lonesome Song’, an emotional testimony about loss, regret and dealing with the pains of loneliness.
