Jerrod Niemann’s first meeting with the music was as a child growing up in Liberal, Kans., after his parents bought him a music came. As a youngster, he loved to play in a similar way with both Run-DMC, Oak Ridge Boys and Queen. After moving to Fort Worth he enrolled in college where he studied serious music for two years. The next stop was Nashville where he improved his style and got in touch with other creative musicians. However, he did not have too much success at the beginning with the production companies and two times he failed to sign a serious contract. For a year, he went through a lot of turmoil both professionally and personally: he went single, got a lot of weight and did not produce any song. This happened after a successful career as a good songwriter for big names such as Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks or Julie Roberts. However, after he ran into Jamey Johnson one late night, he decided that it is about time to go back in the studio and record some good songs. At the end of 12 months of hard work he produced ‘Jerrod Niemann and Hung Jury’, signed a good contract with Arista and went on air. One of this biggest achievements was to have his first single ‘Lover, Lover’ – a very good remake of Sonia Dada’s song ‘You Don’t Treat Me No Good’ on the top 5 American charts.
