Jimmy Wayne’s life is a good sample of movie with cowboys surviving in the American jungle. Born in North Carolina, he coped from an early age with a mother that was more in the prison than at home and a stepfather that threatened his life when he was 13 years old. With such a background, no wonder that he ended up in a detention center for a while, but he went far beyond his condition, as he succeeded to study criminal justice and returned in the prison area but not as an inmate, but as a prison guard for around four years. His passion for country music was completed by his passion for the hard version of music, specifically heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Queenstrike. His first score was written together with Skip Ewing: ‘Put Your Hand in Mine’. Soon after he signed his first serious contract with Dream Works Records Nashville for the release of his self-titled debut disc. The emotional words of his music were often preferred to various local radio stations and thus, he went on air with ‘Stay Gone’, a very interesting romantic ballad. Even though the contract with Dream Works Nashville eventually ended up, he continued to pursue his passion for music and thus, his third album, ‘Sara Smile’ saw the light of the day in the second half of 2009.
