Lady Gaga’s main musical references are as complex as her personality: the Beatles, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson and Rolling Stones. Her stage name originated from Queen’s song with the same name. She started to play piano by ear, when she was four and in 14 she considered herself strong enough to perform around New York City’s Lower East Side with an open mic. She graduated from the same elite private institution as Paris Hilton – Convent of the Sacred Heart – and followed the Tisch School of the Arts. Meanwhile, she wrote songs for the Pussycat Dolls. Interscope Records wanted her in their portfolio and thus she signed with them a serious contract when she was only 20 years old. Her debut took place in 2008, with ‘The Fame’ that brought her into the stage lights for her spectacular appearance on stage and the permanently temptation to update herself in a very shocking way. Songs such as ‘Born This Way’ or ‘The Fame’ or ‘Just Dance’ automatically entered the charts and brought her fans from all over the world.
