Nickelback is a band launched in the mid-‘90s in Alberta that started with a sound similar with Pearl Jam. With a grunge modern rock style and a lot of sympathy from the part of many local radio stations, they were successful in getting a lot of sympathy with singles such as ‘Leader of Men’ and the 1998 album ‘The State’. They were able to sign a contract with the American record company ‘Roadrunner’ and even launched a new version of ‘The State’. The band played in the following composition: Chad Kroeger (voice, guitar), Mike Kroeger (bass), Ryan Peake (guitar) and Brandon Kroeger (drums). Kroeger will be soon replaced by Daniel Adair. They were on tour together with Creed. Their new album, ‘Silver Side Up’, launched in 2001, was a new source of hits for the radios, one of the most famous being ‘Someday’. Their confirmation as one of the biggest bands of old rock took place in 2005, following their extended presence together with traditional heavy-rock bands such as Pantera and ZZ Top. Hits like ‘Savin’ Me’ and ‘Photograph’ made them even more famous. Three years later, they were successful again with the production of ‘Dark Horse’, due also to the contribution of the producer Mutt Lange, and thus they went straight as famous bands for the production of ballads and rock anthems.
