Demetrius Savelio (aka Savage) is not only a newcomer to the charts in the United States but also has a very interesting personal history. He is a Samoan rapper born and raised in South Auckland, New Zealand. He has been a known at home as a famous hip-hop star since 1999. He started as a member of the Deceptikons, but decided to continue as a solo artist. Some of his most famous songs such as ‘Swing’ and ‘Capital S.A.’ were included as part of the Judd Apatow/Seth Rogen productions 'Knocked Up' and 'Superbad'. His debut album, ‘Moonshine’ was launched in 2005. His entrance on the US music market took place in 2008, with 'Savage Island' in 2008.
