Talib Kweli had been always a busy man, especially in New York City where he used to be an MC and a talented that has produced of hot tracks after hot tracks. Together with Mos Def he created the Black Star, a band that will always be remembered for their 1998 debut, universally acclaimed. He also contributed at many important hip-hop compilations. One of the most famous is 'Soundbombing' collections, 'Lyricist Lounge Vol. 1', followed by 'New York State of Mind 1 and 2'. In parallel with his musical career he had often open positions on various sociopolitical issues that he supported by signing petitions or expressing his public support while on the stage. He was also featured in ‘Hip Hip for Respect’ and ‘The Unbound Project’.
