Known for years to the public as a solo artist, Zac Brown decided to create his own band, together with Jimmy De Martini (fiddle) and John Hopkins (bass), and later on with Chris Fryar (drums) and Coy Bowles (guitar/organ). They were invited often to play in the opening of famous bands and singers, such as Sugarland, Travis Tritt, Allman Brothers or Willie Nelson. Their album of debut was ‘Home Grown’, released in 2005 and the result of a self-financed project. Two years later, it was followed by ‘Live from the Rock Bus Tour’. One of their most famous single is ‘Chicken Fried’, part of their 2008 album ‘The Foundation’, a success on the charts of country music. When they are on tour, they always preferred an intensive schedule, and during some of their tours they even played for up to 200 shows in 12 months. Most of their fans are in the South, especially in Georgia, Brown’s state of birth.
